DOG GROOMING

Cornwall Canine Centre is based in the heart of Newquay, just minutes away from the town centre, harbour and beaches.

Our grooming salon provides a calm and relaxing environment, where our fully qualified/insured staff can offer a personalised, professional groom on a one-to-one basis.

We cater for all sizes, breeds, coat types and requirements. From the short-coated Chihuahua to the double-coated Newfoundland.

We understand that all dogs are different in temperament, coat and breed requirements. We pride ourselves on listening to our customers, and are happy to work alongside them for the best possible experience for both the dog and owner.

Our groom room adjoins our fantastic pet shop and self-service dog wash rooms. The shop contains a large variety of products, from raw feeds, treats, toys, leads and collars and dog wear, to herbal supplements and much more!

Flea repellent treatment – If your dog has parasites, we will treat your dog with a anti-parasitic shampoo and conditioner during their visit. There will be an additional charge for this service. The price starts from £5, but this may increase depending on the dogs size and coat type. We strongly advise customers to thoroughly check and treat their dogs prior to their appointment.

De-shed – Our de-shedding service is a fabulous way to remove the excess hair from your pet. Our service is available for most breeds, but really focuses on those that are moulting heavily and require a little extra help with the removal. Prices start from £10, depending on the size and coat type.

De-matting – We are aware that dogs do get matted from time to time, and certain coat types are more prone than others. De-matting can be a time-consuming process, and uncomfortable for dogs, therefore we apply a minimum £5 charge for removing mats and tangles. The price will vary depending on the size and severity of the matting. For a more accurate quotation, please pay us a visit so we can assess your dog before making an appointment.

We offer a puppy introduction service which starts from £25.
The introduction services are available for all pups between 12 – 24 weeks of age.
Each pup will be allocated an hour visit. During his or her visit, we will slowly introduce them to the salon space and treatments, to help desensitise pups that will require regular maintenance. During their hour, we will clip their nails, clean the ears and provide them with a bath/dry and brush. If the puppy tolerates all the above and requires and requires a basic trim, i.e. clearing of eyes, we will tidy up certain features. However, if your puppy is under 24 weeks of age and requires a groom, a separate appointment will have to be made and the price will be determined according to the dogs size and coat type.

Nail clipping | Toy – Medium breeds £8 | Large – Giant breeds £10 – This service includes a nail trim, removal of excess hair from the bottom of the pad, matt removal between the pads and toes and an application of paw balm.

Hand stripping – This service is aimed towards breeds that benefit from having their coat hand stripped rather than being clipped or scissored, such as Terriers or wire-coated breeds. Grooming Shop

We have in stock a large selection of grooming tools, shampoos and conditioners, which can be purchased in our shop. If you would like some help, tips and advise on how to maintain your dogs coat in between grooms, we will be more than happy to show you methods and techniques to keep your dog in tip top shape!
