DOG WASHROOM

Cornwall Canine Centre is based in the heart of Newquay, just minutes away from the town centre and some of Cornwall’s most popular beaches, including Fistral Beach, which is only around the corner from us, as well as The Harbour, Tolcarne, Towan and Porth. The Gannel is also just down the road. Our location makes us the perfect stop-off point to freshen up your dog after a sandy beach day, a muddy walk, a dip in the sea or an adventure along the estuary.

Our Self-Service Dog Washroom provides a private, convenient and mess-free space for you to wash your dog using professional equipment. The washroom is suitable for all breeds and sizes, from tiny toy Chihuahuas right up to giant Great Danes, and everything in between. It is spacious, easy to use and designed for comfort and safety for both you and your dog.

If your dog struggles to step into the bath, we provide sturdy steps or a ramp to help guide them in comfortably. The bath also includes a sliding door to keep your dog safely inside during the wash, giving you complete control and peace of mind while they are being cleaned.

Inside the washroom, you will find a warm adjustable dog shower, a professional high-powered dog dryer, a protective apron to keep you dry, and a safe non-slip area for your dog to stand. The space is large enough to comfortably accommodate even the biggest breeds and energetic dogs, making it suitable for every coat type and requirement.

We offer optional extras to enhance your wash, including towel rental for £1 and a full range of shampoos, conditioners, detanglers and hypoallergenic oatmeal products available to purchase in-store for you to use at home. We also stock perfume sprays, coat finishing sprays, slicker brushes, de-shedding tools, nail clippers and many more grooming essentials in our pet shop next door.

This service is ideal after beach trips, muddy walks, rolling in something unpleasant, or for maintaining your dog’s cleanliness between full grooming sessions. It’s the perfect way to keep your dog clean and fresh without creating any mess at home.

The washroom is available as a walk-in service at any time during our opening hours. If you prefer to secure a specific time, you can book by calling us, and same-day bookings are usually available. You can also pop in to check availability or reserve a slot in person.

Next to the washroom, our pet shop offers a fantastic range of natural dog food, treats, grooming products, toys, leads, collars and wellness items — ideal for rewarding your dog after their wash or stocking up on everyday essentials.
